District begins
K-8 registration
For parents of incoming new students in kindergarten through eighth grade in the Saratoga Union School District, registration packets for the schools are available and are due starting April 1. The packets are at the district office, 20460 Forrest Hills Drive; each elementary school also has registration packets for kindergarten and first grade.
New students with siblings already enrolled in the district are encouraged to register before May 16. A lottery will be held if specific grade and class requests exceed the space available. For more information, call Loree Ferla at 408.867.3424, ext. 200.
Redwood raises
money for schools
The community is asked to support Redwood Middle School and the Saratoga Education Foundation by pledging money for students who participate in the annual Redwood Jogathon. The event, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on March 21, raises money for programs and staff that are not funded by the Saratoga Union School District's funding sources. The goal is to raise $75 per student. Call Janet Brenner, event co-chairwoman, at 408.741.1452.
