'Guys and Dolls'
Chip Kramer (left) plays Nathan Detroit and Sarah Gold is Miss Adelaide in Saratoga High School's upcoming production of 'Guys and Dolls.' Directed by drama teacher Kathleen Woods, the musical opens March 28 and closes April 5, running for two weekends. More than 100 students are in the cast, crew and orchestra of the 'funny and romantic' show. 'It's a very family-friendly show,' Woods says. Set in the 1950s, 'it is just so much fun, and that's something that we're finding as a group.' According to Woods, this year's cast is unique in that there are many new faces to the school's performing arts scene, and there are three administrators and one faculty member in the show. 'It adds a whole other dimension,' Woods says. 'I'm very, very excited.' The performances will be held at Los Gatos High School's Prentiss Brown Auditorium. For further show information or to purchase tickets, which are $12 for adults and $9 for students, call the Saratoga High School Activities Office at 408.867.3411, ext. 203.
