'Luck Be A Lady' at Saratoga High

Guys and Dolls, Saratoga High School's spring musical, opens on Friday and closes April 5, running for two weekends. More than 100 students are in the cast, crew and orchestra of the "family-friendly" show. The performances will be held at Los Gatos High School's Prentiss Brown Auditorium. Lions Club looking for two scholars

The Saratoga Lions Club is looking for high school seniors who live in Saratoga to apply for its two $1,000 scholarships. Applications, which are due by April 9, can be obtained by writing to the Saratoga Lions Club Scholarship Coordinator, P.O. Box 101, Saratoga, 95071.

A committee of Lions Club members will select the students based on scholarship, citizenship, service and accomplishments.


Parents have night out with Redwood

The Saratoga Community Center is hosting a comedy night for the parents of Redwood Middle School students on March 29. Starting at 7 p.m., comedienne Sandi Selvi and co-hosts will put on an evening of hilarity. There will be snacks and beverages, as well as a mini auction. The evening, which is sponsored by the Redwood PTA Executive Board, benefits the school's grant reserve.

Open seat tickets are available for $25 each, reserved seats are $50 each, and an entire table for 10 can be purchased for $500. For more information, email Roz Fazio at rozfazio@aol.com.


County foundation offers scholarship

The Santa Clara County Clover Foundation is offering its 2003 Clover Foundation Scholarship. All public and private high school seniors and college freshmen in the county are eligible to apply. Two scholarships of $500 each are available to those who are active in county youth organizations or pursuing an agricultural-based or home economics career. For more information, call 408.395.1821.
