Laugh fest is for the whole family
The Four Dads are bringing their upbeat comedy to Montalvo's Carriage House Theater April 3. Cast members Tim Bedore, Kelly McDonald, Dan St. Paul and San Jose native Milt Abel examine what they call "the grist of suburban life: from changing diapers to windshield wipers, from sibling brawls to outlet malls." AAUW will host special luncheon
Bring your favorite salad and the Los GatosSaratoga branch of the American Association of University Women will do the rest as they host their annual educational foundation salad luncheon on Saturday, April 12. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 14103 Saratoga Ave.
Female Tech Trek Scholarship winners will be introduced, grant honorees will be named and 50-year foundation members will be honored. Saryn Goldberg, an education fellow, will also be present to speak about her study in biomechanics with the mechanical engineering department at Stanford University. Buy a book and help the library
Friends of the Saratoga Libraries is hosting a paperback book sale April 12 and 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fiction and nonfiction books of all kinds will be on sale. Books are 25 cents on Saturday; a grocery bag full of books is $2 on Sunday. Proceeds benefit the Saratoga Library. Wey to perform at Foothill
Redwood Middle School student Jennifer Wey will be featured in a solo in Violin Concerto No. 5 by Henri Vieuxtemps during the Nova Vista Symphony concert on April 5, 8 p.m., at Foothill College.
