Sheriff's Report
VANDALISM—April 4, 10:30 p.m. on Farr Ranch Road. Several juvenile suspects drove to a resident's home and threw three dozen eggs, damaging the slate-tiled roof. The victims said they knew the suspects and did not want to press charges. However, they did request that a report be written. The cost of the cleanup and repairs is estimated to be more than $500.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY—April 4, 6:06 a.m. on Prospect Road. An unknown person broke into a jewelry store using an unidentified tool and damaged the door window. The suspect stole approximately $30 worth of gift ring boxes.

OBSTRUCTING A PEACE OFFICER—April 2, 8:40 p.m. on Myren Drive. An officer responded to a call regarding a man in possession of a knife in a resident's home. When the officer arrived on the scene, fellow officers were trying to remove the suspect safely from the house. The officers noticed that the suspect had cut himself and attempted to further calm him down, but the father of the suspect grew irate and started screaming at the officer.

IDENTITY THEFT—April 2, 9 a.m. on Padero Court. A woman discovered that she was a victim of an identity theft when she was denied by a loan company. The loan officer notified the victim that she had several open accounts, but billing statements showed an address that belonged to someone else. The officer would not reveal any further information but advised the victim to report the situation to her credit card companies.

PETTY THEFT—March 26, 10:30 on Big Basin Way. A male juvenile left school to go to the market. The owner and employees at the market witnessed the suspect putting a canned drink and a pack of cupcakes in his jacket pocket. The suspect left the store without paying but was later caught by the owner.

PETTY THEFT—March 25, 6:20 p.m. on Prospect Road. Two men entered a music store and left with approximately 24 CDs that were not paid for; they drove off with a third person. The manager of the store did not want to press charges.

GRAND THEFT—March 22, 10 a.m. on Bucknall Road. A dog that was being watched by a friend escaped from a yard and ran across the street to a gas station. Drivers of a green Dodge sedan picked up the dog and drove away.
