More funds needed
for the PAL Center
Now in the fifth week of intense fundraising, the Saratoga High School Foundation has raised $645,000 of the money it needs in order to begin construction of the Performing Arts and Lecture Center this summer. The foundation needs about $937,000 more before the June 6 deadline, when the school will lose its low construction bid of $6.1 million.
According to Bill Barmeier, foundation board president, the $645,000 is a combination of donations and challenge pledges from families, individuals and organizations. Along with a fundraising campaign, various Saratoga restaurants are donating a portion of their proceeds regularly to the foundation. For more information, visit www.shsf.org.
