Art is on display at Open Studios
The annual Silicon Valley Open Studios event is coming to southern Santa Clara County on May 17 and 18. Featured hot spots include Saratoga, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Campbell and San Jose. The Open Studios project is free and allows residents to participate in a self-guided tour through the county to see artists at work.
There are several local locations offering tour guide maps, including the Montalvo Art Center and Saratoga Framing Company. A complete listing of Saratoga and Los Gatos map locations, as well as a history of the project, can be found at http://www.svopenstudios.org.
Vivaldi comes alive with college talent
The West Valley Masterworks Chorale is teaming up with the West Valley College Singers to present Vivaldi on May 9 at 8 p.m. at the Campbell First United Methodist Church in Campbell. The concert will pay a tribute to the famous Italian Baroque composer and master violinist.

Bop with the Bobs May 11 at Montalvo
San Francisco originals The Bobs perform at the Carriage House at Montalvo on May 11 at 7:30 p.m. This a cappella quartet is known for its quirky original tunes, such as "Bach to Bach" and energetic renditions of classic songs such as "Helter Skelter" and "Light My Fire." Stomachs are guaranteed to ache after the concert, as The Bobs sing silly songs and do some witty bantering between sets.
