Enrollment deadlines are May 14 for chamber music camps and June 15 for orchestra camps and exploration day. Hakone offers artistic inspiration

The vivid colors found in koi ponds, sculptured plants and bamboo gardens are a great source for inspiration, which is why Saratoga Contemporary Artists is forgoing its customary meeting on May 8 and heading to Hakone Gardens for a day of painting and sketching. The group will visit the gardens from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., although members and guests are welcome to arrive earlier and stay later than the specified times. Parking will be free for group participants. Call 408.255.5026 for more information. Hakone Gardens is located at 21000 Big Basin Way in Saratoga.
