ASSAULT WITH A FIREARM—May 3, 12:35 a.m. on Quito Road. Two African American male suspects entered a residence's home and shouted "Brace yourself, I'm going to rob you." One suspect was waving a black semi-automatic handgun and struck a victim several times in the head. One victim jumped up and kicked a suspect in the chest and pushed him out of the front door. A second victim then used a couch to block the door, preventing the suspect from re-entering. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. The suspects are still at large.
POSSESSION OF DRUG—May 1, 10:06 p.m. between Star Ridge Court and Continental Circle. Two suspects were caught smoking marijuana in a parked vehicle. The officer confiscated a glass bong and plastic baggies containing the illegal substance.
VEHICLE VANDALISM—May 1, 10:20 a.m. on Saratoga Avenue. A male victim parked his truck on the street and returned to it the next day, only to find that there was damage to the vehicle. There was a diagonal scratch along the tailgate to the door on the driver's side. The estimated cost to repair the vehicle is $1,143.
MAIL THEFT—April 30, 1:10 p.m. on Mt. Eden Road. A female victim reported that an unknown amount of mail was placed in her mailbox on April 29. A postal carrier who was delivering the mail the next day said he found mail belonging to the victim approximately 3/10s of a mile away from her mailbox. The mail was opened and thrown on the ground. The victim had no idea what was missing.
MISSING PERSON—April 29, 4:50 p.m. on Verde Court. An officer was dispatched to a resident's home to follow up on a case involving a missing male adult. The wife of the missing person notified the officer that her husband did not take his medication. Her husband left the house in his underwear and drove to work. While the officer was entering the information into Teletype, a San Jose police officer made contact with the missing person at work. The male was taken for treatment.
MISSING JUVENILE—April 29, 7:40 a.m. between Mandarin and Russell Way. An officer was called to a missing juvenile case. The officer met with the parents of the missing person, who reportedly left the house after an argument. The officer put out a call to county communications and Teletype. The juvenile returned home safely the next morning.
BURGLARY—April 28, 1 p.m. on Glen Brae Drive. An unknown suspect cut and removed the latch of a metal storage container and stole a baseball pitching machine valued at $1,100. There is no suspect information.
VANDALISM—April 28, 12:30 a.m. on Herriman Avenue. A male victim flagged down an officer who was patrolling the area. The victim said that his car was keyed on the front and rear door of the driver side by an unknown person. The victim said he did not see anyone in the area. No suspect information is available.
