Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley cares for many animals in need

Thousands of orphaned or injured wild birds and animals are saved every year through the efforts of staff and volunteers at the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley. Two Saratoga residents, Trudy Burney and Sophie Duckett, have for years helped to nurture the animals back to health so that they can be rereleased into the wild.

| For five years, Masankho Banda has taught residents how to rhythmically celebrate their bodies every Wednesday at the Saratoga Community Center, where all cycles of life and living—birth, death, travel, healing, welcoming, marriage—are interpreted through dance.
