Through Nova, the alternative high school in the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, troubled teens are discovering an approach to academics that takes their individual needs into account. New library McWilliams House Saratoga schools
Due to on-schedule construction and a good-sized team of volunteers, the new Saratoga Library is set to open its doors on June 9, just in time for summer.  More With the Chamber of Commerce now settled in new headquarters in downtown Saratoga, a local organization is eyeing the McWilliams House as a possible spot to show some of Saratoga's oldest artifacts.  More The Saratoga Union School District's recent decision to lay off 18 employees was a difficult one, but the school board still has more hefty decisions to make in the days ahead: On June 10, the board will take a first look at the proposed budget for 2003-04.  More

St. Andrew's School YMCA youth group Turnaround students
The Saratoga City Council has voted to uphold a planning commission's previous decision to approve construction of new facilities at St. Andrew's Parish and School.  More In the name of increasing its image as a culturally sensitive organization, the Southwest YMCA has dropped its Native American-influenced Princesses and Guides program in favor of an adventurer theme.  More Ten high school seniors in the Los Gatos­Saratoga Union High School District were recently awarded scholarships from the Los Gatos Kiwanis Club for turning around their academic careers.  More
