Saratoga summer day camps for kids

The Saratoga Recreation Department is hosting 51 day camps for children this summer. In addition to art, dance and rock climbing, kids can take up theater with the musical theater workshop for 8- to 18-year-olds.

The camp focuses on honing auditioning skills and stage presence throughout a five-day camp.

Students work in their own age groups, learning a song, poem or monologue that will be featured during a performance showcase at the end of the week.

The camp costs $129 and runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., June 16 through 20 at the North Campus, located at 19848 Prospect Road in Saratoga.
