Vandalism—July 6, 9:05 a.m. An unidentified suspect damaged a roll-up garage door of a residence on Calle Tacuba by striking it with an unknown object. As a result, there was a 3 by 5-inch hole in the center of the door. Photographs of the garage door were taken. The estimated cost of repairing the door is $350.
Vandalism—July 4, 1:20 p.m. on Camino Barco and Allendale Avenue. An unknown suspect threw approximately eight eggs at a victim's residence, damaging the window frames. The victim expects the cost of repair to be $2,000.
Assault With A Weapon—July 3, 2:02 a.m. on Pierce Road. Two suspects started a fight with a Caucasian male and called him a "redneck hillbilly." One suspect struck the victim in the face several times. While the victim was trying to defend himself, the second suspect struck him in the spine with a bottle. Both suspects fled on foot. An officer later found one of the suspects hiding down the road and attempted to arrest him. The suspect resisted and started kicking the officer. It took three deputies to detain the suspect. The other suspect was restrained by a device.
Residential Burglary—July 2, 12:15 p.m. between Carniel Avenue and Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A unknown suspect entered a residence through an unlocked interior garage door and stole a victim's purse from the kitchen. Two cards of latent fingerprints were obtained from a large can of oil that was shifted around by the suspect. The value of the stolen items is approximately $1,515.
Possession Of Drugs—July 1, 4:20 p.m. between Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and Seagull Way. An officer stopped a vehicle for expired tabs and made contact with the driver and the two passengers. The officer reported smelling a strong marijuana-like odor emitting from the vehicle. A passenger in the backseat admitted to having marijuana and produced a film canister containing 2.1 grams of the drug. One passenger was cited and the other was booked into jail on an outstanding no-bail allowed warrant. The driver was cited for driving without a license.
