Sheriff's Report
Vandalism—July 12, 10:02 a.m. on Sobey Road and Omega Lane. An unknown person damaged a metal mailbox by crushing it with an unidentified object. The estimated cost to replace the mailbox is $50.

Burglary—July 12, 9:45 a.m. An unidentified suspect broke into a residence on Baroni Court through a back door leading to the living room and kitchen areas and ignited a small folded hand towel using an unknown device. The suspect also attempted to set an exterior windowsill on fire, leaving a charred surface on the sill. The suspect fled the scene. No suspect information is available.

Assault With a Weapon—July 12, 3:10 a.m. on Glasgow Drive. A man was having a party at his residence when a fight broke out between some of the guests. The resident asked the guests to leave. The guests returned 30 minutes later and forced their way into the residence, damaging items in the house and in the victim's car. They also took full liquor bottles from the garage and left them in the backyard. Photos and fingerprints were obtained.

Reckless Driving—July 11, 11:34 p.m. on Herriman Avenue. An officer parked at a school noticed a red sedan entering the parking lot at a fast speed. The vehicle lost traction on the back tires and spun 180 degrees. The driver was cited and released.

Vandalism—July 11, 6:45 a.m. on Glen Brae Drive. An unknown person damaged the grass fields at a park and destroyed the fences. The person also stole a golf cart belonging to a construction company. The estimated cost to renovate is $1,950. There are no suspects at the time.

Offensive Words—July 8, 6:20 on Canyon View Drive. An officer was dispatched to a call in which a woman reported a suspect shouting expletives to her in reference to her nationality. The victim wanted to press charges. Officers were unable to contact the suspect.

Grand Theft—July 8, 10:50 a.m. on Glen Brae Drive and Cox Avenue. A woman and her husband reported a jewelry box with $34,820 worth of items had disappeared from their home while in the process of their moving from Saratoga to Los Gatos. The victims said there were a lot of people, including carpet cleaners and movers, in the house during that time.
