Stolen Vehicle—July 25, 7 a.m. on Clemson and Villanova drives. A couple reported that their vehicle, which had been parked on the street in front of their home, had been stolen. According to the report, one of the victims heard the sound of a large engine in the neighborhood that night. No further suspect information is available.
Residential Burglary—July 24, 10:30 p.m. on Larchmont Avenue. An unknown person entered a garage through an unlocked door and took a pair of sunglasses, a camera case and a cell phone charger belonging to the resident. The resident also reported that her husband's cell phone was missing. A print card and a photo were obtained and submitted to the detective division. The report shows that the suspect made two phone calls on the cell phone.
Vandalism—July 23, 12:15 p.m. An unidentified person toilet papered a residence on Via Arriba Court and Via Monte Drive. The estimated cost of cleaning up is $50. The victim said the property had been targeted twice within two weeks. There are no suspects.
Burglary—July 23, 8:25 a.m. on Purdue Drive. A man reported two revolvers missing from his garage. According to the report, the victim said he suspected his brother stole the guns to exchange for drug money.
Petty Theft—July 23, 8:15 a.m. on Lido Way. A man called the operations desk to report the theft of his blue 2004 vehicle registration tab. The victim said he believed the tab was stolen while the car was parked at his parents' house.
Petty Theft—July 22, 10:15 a.m. on Swarthmore Drive and Villanova Avenue. An unknown person took mail from two different locations as well as tools and receipts from a truck in San Jose. Neighbors reported seeing a suspicious vehicle driving in the area. The vehicle is believed to be associated with a related incident that occurred in early July. The suspect is reported to be a Hispanic male. The stolen mail was recovered and turned over to the sheriff's office.
Found Property—July 22, 8:30 a.m. on Saratoga Avenue and Big Basin Way. A white bicycle was found at the Westside Substation. The bike's serial number was entered into the computer system. The bike is currently being stored at headquarters for safekeeping.
Explosion of a Destructive Device—July 22, 1:21 a.m. on Chalet Lane. A bomb squad responded to a call regarding a suspicious package and a possible explosion. When officers and the squad arrived on scene, they found a round hole in the garage. Damages are estimated at $500. The suspects are still at large.
