Seeking classmates
for local reunions
The Saratoga High School class of 1993 will be holding a 10-year reunion from 7 to 11 p.m. on Aug. 23 at the Toll House Hotel in Los Gatos. The reunion will be $50 per person and includes music, dancing, appetizers and a no-host bar. According to Sharon Boyce-Bender, organizer of the event, the class is still looking for lost classmates. Prospect High School will also be holding a 10-year reunion, starting at 6 p.m. on Aug. 16 at Tarragon Restaurant, 140 S. Murphy Ave., Sunnyvale. The cost is $50 per person. Checks can be made payable to "Prospect Class of 1993" and mailed to JeAnna Weisend, 18338 Clemson Ave., Saratoga, 95070.

Brown graduation
Wendy Ching-Wen Huang, the daughter of Drs. Bill and Linda Huang of Saratoga, recently graduated magna cum laude from Brown University in Providence, R.I., the nation's seventh-oldest college. She earned two bachelor's degrees in neuroscience as well as literature and cultures in English. She was also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi honors societies.
Jenny Grace Lin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lin of Saratoga, also graduated magna cum laude from Brown with a bachelor's degree in architectural studies and Italian studies. She also received the Minnie Helen Hicks Premium for outstanding achievement in Italian studies and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society.
Trent Weber, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Weber of Saratoga, recently graduated from Brown, earning a bachelor's degree in engineering. He was also a member of the Tau Beta Pi honors society.

Marie Charlotte Ballon of Saratoga, a graduate of Archbishop Mitty High School and California Lutheran University, received her law degree on May 17 during the 79th annual commencement exercises from University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. She is the daughter of Samuel Ballon of Saratoga. She also received honors in oral advocacy from the law school in 2002 and served as the vice president of the sports and entertainment group.

Lucia Sueltz of Saratoga recently graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Penn. with a bachelor's degree in philosophy/political thought and religion. She also made the dean's list for the spring 2003 semester, earning a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen A. Sueltz.

Jennifer Chu of Saratoga was named to the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester at Colby College. She is the daughter of Wen-Cheng and Harriet Chu, also of Saratoga. Chu is majoring in government and international studies with a minor in education and is a graduate of Saratoga High School.
