Singh is featured
in San Jose festival
Downtown San Jose welcomes the 28th annual Tapestry Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 30 and 31 and Sept. 1, featuring a surplus of arts, crafts, international foods and design vendors. Saratoga artist Kavita Singh will be included in the mix, offering her exclusive, hand-painted silk goods. With a degree in textiles from New Delhi, India, and design experience in Paris, Singh has been designing her own line for the past 28 years, featuring colorful and flowing scarves, ruanas and jackets. The free festival includes four music and dance stages, nearly 400 art booths, a hands-on art area for children and a design and garden show featuring the latest innovations for the home. Visit http://www.tapestryintalent.org for more information or call the festival hotline at 408.494.3590.
