Possession of Stolen Property—Sept. 3, 1:30 p.m. on Miller Avenue and Prospect Road. A male passersby notified an officer that he saw a another male stealing a red and white bike and pointed the suspect out. When the officer confronted the suspect, he said that the bike was lying on the ground. Another person standing by told the officer that the bike was stolen from his house. The officer booked the suspect at Main Jail.
Residential Burglary—Sept. 3, 10:30 a.m. between Woodside Drive and Brookview Drive. A female victim reported that her wallet was taken from her kitchen table. She said she noticed that the sliding door leading to one of the rooms was open in the morning, but there were no signs of a forced entry. She said she thinks either someone broke into her home or her child hid the wallet somewhere in the home.
Stolen Vehicle—Sept. 2, 7:50 p.m. on Bucknall Road. An officer was dispatched to a call regarding a suspicious activity. The reporting party notified the California Highway Patrol that three males were in a silver Lexus and covering their faces. The vehicle was reported stolen on Aug. 30. When the officer approached the vehicle, he found two glass pipes with methamphetamine. The driver displayed signs of being under the influence. The driver was booked at Juvenile Hall.
Petty Theft—Sept. 2, 11 a.m. on Herriman Avenue and Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. An unknown person took approximately $300 from the foreign language department at a school. There were no signs of a forced entry. The money was stored in an unlocked desk drawer. Both the students and the teacher had access to the drawer. The incident was reported for insurance purposes. There are no suspects at this time.
