Havard stabs bronze
|
|
|
Julia Havard, 14, of Saratoga won the bronze medal at the Bay Cup Open Women's Saber Competition at Stanford University. Havard's fencing coach, George Pogosov, is also the head coach of Stanford University's varsity fencing team and was an Olympic gold medallist in 1992. Havard has been fencing for four years and is now a ninth grader at The Harker School in San Jose. She is the daughter of Joan and Russ Havard of Saratoga.
