The bride is the daughter of Paul and Liz Saiz Shapiro of Saratoga. A graduate of Saratoga High School and UC-Berkeley, she is a web developer for a technology company in Silicon Valley.

The groom is the son of Jeanne and Stanley Brown of Newtown, Conn. He is a graduate of Newtown High School, the University of Vermont and Vermont Law School and is legal counsel for a security software company in Silicon Valley.

The couple was wed at Nestldown in Los Gatos and planned to honeymoon in Kauai.
