Sheriff's Report
Property For Destruction—Oct. 5, 11:01 a.m. between Winter Lane and Chateau Drive. A reporting party requested the destruction of old ammunition that was found lying in the garage. The previous owners of the property passed away 30 years ago.

Under The Influence—Oct. 5, 2:30 a.m. on Lawrence Expressway and Prospect Road. An officer stopped a vehicle for a light violation. Both the driver and the passenger displayed symptoms of stimulant use. The officer conducted a search and discovered that one suspect had 0.6 gram of marijuana in his possession. Both suspects were arrested.

Petty Theft—Oct. 4, 10 p.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A female victim said she left her purse in a shopping cart while loading groceries into her car. She returned approximately 40 minutes later to retrieve her purse, but it was gone. The store manager said he did not see the purse. There are no suspects at the moment.

Residential Burglary—Oct. 3, 7 p.m. on La Vista Drive. A male suspect reported that his bike, which he bought a year ago for $500, was stolen. He said the last time he saw the bike was two weeks earlier. It was left in the garage. The bike had no serial number and was not registered. There was no physical evidence at the scene and no witnesses at that time.

Burglary—Oct. 2, 4:40 p.m. on Saratoga­Los Gatos Road. An unknown suspect used an unidentified tool to break into two storage containers attached to the victim's vehicle. The suspect took some hammers, a generator and a drill and fled the scene. The items stolen have a total value of approximately $6,000. Latent prints were obtained.

Vandalism—Oct. 2, 12:30 p.m. between Horseshoe Drive and Saratoga­Los Gatos Road. An unknown person overturned some sod in the front yard of the victim's home, damaging the landscaping pathway lights. Total damages are estimated to be $250.
