Burglary—Oct. 13, 6:15 p.m. on Prospect Road. A couple entered an auto parts store and attempted to make some purchases. The male suspect successfully made a transaction in the amount of $167.72, using a check that was canceled two months ago. The check also had one digit erased from the account number and a fake driver's license number. The female suspect attempted to make some purchases as well, but her check was denied. The couple left the scene when an employee called 911. The suspects are still at large.
Stolen Vehicle—Oct. 13, 6:15 a.m. on Miller Court. A suspect took a vehicle without the owner's consent. The victim notified the responding officer that the suspect was arrested in another city on separate charges.
Vandalism—Oct. 12, 10:20 a.m. on Clemson Avenue. An unknown suspect slashed the right rear tire of a vehicle that was parked in a driveway. The tire is valued at approximately $80.
Grand Theft—Oct. 11, 3:25 p.m. on Brookglen Drive. A female victim said she put her jewelry in a green box and stored it in a dresser drawer. She said she was unable to locate the box days after. Her house is undergoing construction work, leaving a number of people going in and out of her property. She said she believes one of the construction workers took the box. The total value of the missing items is approximately $20,000.
Petty Theft—Oct. 9, 8:50 p.m. on Herriman Avenue. An unknown suspect took $87 in cash and a sterling silver money clip from Tiffany and Company valued at $65 from a victim's backpack, which was left in the basketball auditorium of a school.
Burglary—Oct. 8, 10:05 p.m. on Cox Avenue. An unknown suspect used a tool to shatter the window of a vehicle that was parked in a parking lot. The suspect took a purse and a briefcase containing work files. The briefcase is valued at $420. Latent prints were obtained.
