Canadian Brass set to perform

The Sacred Heart Men's Club is bringing the Canadian Brass quintet to Sacred Heart in Saratoga to headline the Sacred Heart seventh annual Ecumenical Celebration Concert, Nov. 13 at
7:30 p.m.

The evening begins with a performance by local flutist Jamie Mulfinger and harp musician Krystal Schwartz. At 8 p.m., the Canadian Brass will be ready to roll out its eclectic repertoire of everything from Bach to blues. A coffee and dessert reception will be held after the concert for all ticket holders. Animal folklore jumps to life

Animal folktales are scampering to the Saratoga Community Center Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. through the internationally recognized Magical Moonshine Theatre. Using large-scale puppets, masks, and live music, the troupe details dramas based on traditional folktales from a variety of cultures. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 2­12. Holiday Boutique is twice as nice

Gemini Crickets, the San Jose based nonprofit organization for parents of multiples, is hosting a Holiday Boutique on Nov. 9. Nearly 25 vendors will have handmade holiday-themed goods for sale from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Saratoga Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave.

New gallery will open in Saratoga

Art lovers will have a new space to appreciate creative work as the Golden Oak Gallery opens at 14414 Oak St. in Saratoga. To celebrate, owners Rebecca Dye and Hank Helbush are hosting a public reception on Nov. 8 from 4 to 7 p.m., featuring live music, an assortment of organic food, and champagne.
