Water polo players from past and present will be in the water at Saratoga High School on Thanksgiving Day to participate in the school's annual alumni game.

Current Saratoga High players and former Falcons are encouraged to participate in the game on Nov. 27, 9:30­11 a.m., in the high school pool.

The Quito Little League will hold sign-ups for the 2004 season on Nov. 22, 11 a.m.­2 p.m., and Dec. 2 and 4, 6:30­9 p.m., at Rolling Hills Middle School. Players ages 5­12 are eligible. Strikkers softball

The Strikkers will hold girls fastpitch softball tryouts at Oak Grove High School, 285 Blossom Hill Road in San Jose--12 and under, Dec. 7 and 14; 14 and under, Nov. 23 and Dec. 6; 16 and under, Nov. 23 and Dec. 7; and 18 and under, Dec. 6 and 7.

The teams will play tournaments throughout the state and also in Colorado this summer.

5-on-5 soccer

A five-a-side youth soccer league will play a four-week season Nov. 29 through Dec. 20 at Del Mar High School and the old Blackford High School. Games will be played on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

The 5-on-5 games feature smaller fields with bigger goals than normal soccer fields. The registration fee is $250 for teams up to seven players, or $50 per player for individuals.
