to discuss Coe Park
Those interested in what's new at Henry Coe State Park will have the opportunity to learn more on Nov. 20, as park ranger Barry Breckling provides an informational talk at the Saratoga Library at 7:30 p.m. He will discuss the attractions of Coe Park to hikers, backpackers, and horse riders, and provide information on recent proposals to build a reservoir at the park and a high-speed rail line through the park from Central Valley to Santa Clara Valley. Foothill Club will
host lecture
The Saratoga Foothill Club public lecture series continues on Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon with a special presentation on Auguste Rodin's sculpture garden. Led by Bernard Barryte, the chief curator for the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University, the presentation will highlight the 20 bronzes at the sculpture garden. lands a Proggy
Saratoga native John Feldmann, lead singer of the punk band Goldfinger, has just won a Proggy Award for Musician of the Year from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Feldmann will be presented with a plaque for his efforts, and will be featured on PETA's website. For information visit www.peta.org.

holiday event
Prepare for the holidays by joining the Saratoga Federated Church for an evening of Christmas wreath making. Holiday crafts, carol singing and children's stories will also be featured at the Nov. 28 event from 6 to 8 p.m. Call 408.867.1000.
Interfaith Thanksgiving
The Saratoga Presbyterian Church is hosting an interfaith community Thanksgiving service on Nov.27 at 10 a.m. Rabbi Daniel Pressman from Congregation Beth David will lead the service. The church is located at 20455 Herriman Ave.
