Senior group is
seeking members
Interested in joining the Saratoga Area Senior Coordinating Council? Here's your chance.
The organization is looking for new members for 2004. Once a member, seniors will be entitled to take part in several activities such as lectures and weekly luncheons with speakers presenting topics about finance and health.
Members will also be able to enroll in computer, art and dance classes. Interested individuals need not be Saratoga residents.

Commission sells
historic calendars
Out with the old and in with the new! The Saratoga Heritage Commission and the Saratoga Historical Foundation will be selling 2004 calendars containing black-and-white photos of the Village dating back to the 19th century. Calendars will be available at the Saratoga Historical Museum, Chamber of Commerce, Lillian Benson Antiques, Home Choice Pharmacy, Skin Prophecy Boutique and Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards.
Public hearing set
for library funding
Two events will be held to discuss a new funding measure for all nine libraries within the Santa Clara County system. The first will be held on Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. in the community room at the Campbell Library located at 77 Harrison Ave.
The Library Joint Powers Authority will be holding a public hearing for those interested in voicing concern about a measure that would increase parcel taxes.
The other event will take place on Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. at 10370 S. De Anza Blvd. A committee will be kicking off a "Keep Our Libraries Strong" campaign, in support of the parcel tax.

Library meeting
is rescheduled
The Nov. 26 library commission meeting has been canceled. The next meeting will be held on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Book-Go-Round.
