Reception not so still
Photographs by Doug Cody
Local art enthusiasts put their lively stamp of approval on the current "Not So Still Life" exhibit at the San Jose Art Museum when they gathered Nov. 21 for an opening night reception. Taylor Eigsti and his trio entertained while guests enjoyed food and beverages and previewed the exhibit featuring a century of painting and sculpture with a distinctly California flavor. The exhibit continues through Feb. 15.

After a no-ball charity ball fundraising effort in 2003, volunteers with the Silicon Valley Charity Ball welcomed back the magic with a preview of the April 24 Charity Ball scheduled for the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San Jose. The Silicon Valley Capital Club was the setting for the sponsor preview.
