Burglary and Petty Theft—Between Feb. 12, 4:30 p.m., and Feb. 13, 7:30 a.m., on Paramount Court. Someone removed a lock from a storage shed located in front of the property. Shovels, rakes and hoses were reported stolen. The perpetrator also unsuccessfully attempted to break into a large storage trailer.
Grand Theft—Feb. 13 between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. on Pierce Road. A table and chairs were reported stolen from the front porch of a house. The resident estimated the value of the set at $500.
Domestic Violence—Feb. 15 from midnight to 12:30 a.m. on Fourth Street. A man hit a San Jose woman in the head with a TV remote. He then grabbed her by the neck and held her down on a bed. She escaped and ran out of the room. The man approached the woman near the elevator of the property and choked her until she was nearly unconscious. He then dragged her by the hair for approximately 300 feet. The man is a parolee at large and fled the scene before sheriff's deputies arrived. The woman sustained injuries to her head, neck and body.
Stolen Vehicle—Between Feb. 12, 8 a.m., and Feb. 15, 8 a.m., at Baylor Avenue and Purdue Avenue. A man reported that he took his vehicle to a residence for some mechanical work. He had not heard from the mechanic for several days, so he visited the house again, to find both the vehicle and mechanic gone.
