Youth dance at
community center
The Saratoga Youth Commission is sponsoring an all-city middle school dance for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders. The March 5 dance will be held at the Saratoga Community Center at 19655 Allendale Ave. from 7:30 to 11 p.m. and will be chaperoned by recreation department staff.
Tickets are on sale for $5 both now (at the community center) and at the door. Students are required to bring their school identification cards and are advised that the dress code will be enforced. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

AAUW event to honor local history
The local branch of the American Association of University Women will present "Portraits of the Past" on March 27 in celebration of Women's History Month. The presentation consists of educational, accurate and humorous sketches about historical figures from the Santa Clara Valley, performed in period costume by History San Jose Museum volunteers.
The free performance will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the San José City College Theater at 2100 Moorpark Ave. in San Jose. Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Rita Skillman at 408.268.6130.
St. Patrick's Day at senior center
The Saratoga Senior Center will hold its St. Patrick's Day dinner on March 16 at 6 p.m. Reservations must be made and tickets must be purchased in advance. The senior center is located at 19655 Allendale Ave. For more information, call 408.868.1257.
Under 21 Club
opens March 14
The Under 21 Club will present a teen nightclub March 14 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Los Gatos Bar and Grill. Live music, food, a lounge area, big screen television and pool tables will all be available. There is a $5 entrance fee.
The Los Gatos Bar and Grill is located at 15 1/2 N. Santa Cruz Ave.
