Class deals with
property transfers
The Saratoga Senior Center will hold a four-week class on passing along personal property.
"Who Gets Grandma's Yellow Pie Plate" is designed to help people determine what they wish to accomplish, to decide what is fair and to manage any differences that may arise.
The instructor is a professional geriatric-care manager with more than 20 years of experience, and the class includes a University of Minnesota workbook. Class meetings are March 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 19655 Allendale Ave. Space is limited.

Not too late to sign
up for training
Registration is still open for the Community Emergency Response Team training course being offered through the Saratoga Recreation Department.
The 18-hour course offers training to prepare residents for disasters and other emergencies.
The class meets Wednesdays from March 25 through April 29, 6:309:30 p.m., with no class on April 15.
A final meeting is scheduled for May 1 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Classes will be held at the Santa Clara County Fire Department headquarters, 14700 Winchester Blvd. in Los Gatos.

AAUW relives women's history
The Los Gatos, Saratoga and San Jose branches of the American Association of University Women will celebrate women's history month on March 27 with "Portraits of the Past," a presentation honoring significant figures throughout the Santa Clara Valley who have made a difference in communities.
The presentation, performed by volunteers of the History San Jose Museum, takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. at the San José City College Theater, 2100 Moorpark Ave. in San Jose.
Admission is free.
