Cathy Patricia Crimmins, 62, died peacefully at her home on Feb. 19 after a long battle with cancer. The daughter of Robert Nelms and Dolores Webster, Crimmins was born in Yuba City on Jan. 9, 1942.

Crimmins grew up in Santa Barbara, graduated from Chico State University, met her husband, John, in San Francisco and moved to Saratoga, where she and John raised their family. She was involved in organizations including the Parent Teacher Association and the National Charity League. In 1993, she and her husband moved to Reno, Nev.

Crimmins is survived by her husband, John; mother, Dolores Webster; son, Andrew Crimmins; two daughters, Betsey Sommer and Susan Clore; and two grandchildren. A funeral mass was held on Feb. 27 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Reno.
