California dreamin' fashion show is a benefit for an ailing 2-year-old
By My Ngo
Students at Saratoga High School will be kicking off a new season in style with California Dreamin', a two-part fashion show benefiting a 2-year-old boy in need of a liver transplant.

The event will be held in the multipurpose room at Argonaut Elementary School, 13200 Shadow Mountain Drive, on March 13.

The student show will begin at 4:30 p.m., and doors for the family show will open at 8:30 p.m.

Dressed in clothes courtesy of local stores such as Patrick James and The Gap, models, including students in the Saratoga High Benefit Commission and volunteers, will be sporting the latest trends in athletic wear and formal attire. They will also be showing off some of their acting talents in skits produced and directed by Lyndy Janes-Dangerfield.

"This is a wonderful community event," Janes-Dangerfield says. "Last year, we raised about $5,000. Our goal this year is to raise as much or more."

Tickets, with a purchase price of $10 for the student show and $20 for the family show, are available at the main office at Saratoga High School, 20300 Herriman Ave. For more information, contact Lyndy Janes-Dangerfield at 408.504.5877.
