Petty Theft—Feb. 22 between 5 and 5:30 p.m. on Chester Avenue. A woman reported that her purse had been stolen from her father's vehicle, which was parked in front of a residence. The vehicle was unlocked and the windows were rolled down. The woman reported that the purse contained 13 pens and estimated the total value at $35.
Vandalism—Between March 6 at 4 p.m. and March 7 at 1 p.m. on Craigen Circle. Someone wrote "Can I eat your" on the side of a residence with a black marker. The owner of the house estimated damage at $100.
Vehicle Burglary—March 3 between 2:40 and 4:50 p.m. on Prospect Road. Someone broke the front passenger window of a vehicle and removed a wallet containing cash and credit cards from the dashboard.
Possession of Paraphernalia—March 4 at 4:53 p.m. on Paseo Lado. An officer made an arrest at a residence. The subject then asked to retrieve $20 from a room in the house. The officer went to the room and found a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamines.
Vehicle Burglary—March 4 at 12:30 p.m. on Titus Drive. Someone broke the front driver's side window of a van and removed a purse from under the driver's seat.
Soliciting Without a Permit—March 3 at 3:45 on Kilbride Drive. An officer responded to a call of a suspicious person soliciting in the area. The officer saw a person coming out of a residence possessing solicitation materials and cited the solicitor for violating a city ordinance.
Theft by Credit Card—Feb. 18 at noon on Hillmoor Drive. A man received a letter from his credit-card company alerting him of unusual spending habits. A few days later, the man received a letter from a company asking him for more information about an order it was processing for him. He said he did not place an order with the company. Approximately $2,000 in unauthorized charges had been made to the card, which the man has since canceled.
Vehicle Burglary—March 3 between 11:55 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue. A woman reported that her driver's side window was broken and her purse was stolen from the driver's side floorboard when her vehicle was parked at St. Andrew's Church. The purse was found a few minutes later by a creek near Fruitvale and Allendale avenues. Her checkbook and $200 in cash was missing, but her credit cards were still there.
