James Robert Jameson
James Robert Jameson, 75, died on Feb. 19 at Watsonville Community Hospital.
The son of Margaret Harriet Daily and Howard Jameson, Jameson was born in Covington, Ky., and had lived in Saratoga since the early 1940s. He moved to Aromas, Calif., four years ago.
Active in the U.S. Army as a sergeant and the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer, Jameson spent his military career in several foreign countries, including England, Germany and Scotland. He also worked at Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation of Permanente, where he was in charge of the Permanente fire brigade, among other things. After having spent 30 years with the company, he retired as the maintenance supervisor in the late 1980s.
Jameson is survived by his daughters, Julie Ann and Sharon Jameson, a stepdaughter, a son-in-law, a brother-in-law, two step-grandchildren, and eight step great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his second wife, Ruth Piipponen Ryan. Services were held at Madronia Cemetery.
