Gallery Saratoga is inviting the public to see The Silk Road, a month-long exhibit featuring artwork by the South Bay Silk Artists, starting April 5 and running through May 2. Artists will also hold a special reception from 1 to 4 p.m. on April 17, at which a variety of wearable art, including jackets, vests and scarves, will be on display. Club prepares for
annual art show

Art enthusiasts are gearing up for the 46th annual art show hosted by the Rotary Club of Saratoga. One of the city's largest community fundraising events, the show benefits nonprofit organizations and supports special projects including those from the Montalvo Center for the Arts, the Saratoga Union School District, EMQ Children & Family Services, the Hakone Foundation and Estralla Family Services.

The May 2 affair will feature artwork of different forms—paintings, ceramics, jewelry, photography and sculpture—by 175 artists. There will also be activities for children as well as a children's art display. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at West Valley College at 14000 Fruitvale Ave. For more information, check out www.saratogarotary.org.
