| "Domestic Odyssey," the show at the San Jose Museum of Art through July 3, opened in grand style March 6 with a reception featuring dance, fashion and music ranging from opera to sitar. The show features work by a group of national and international artists using household items as the focus of their art. |

| Mezzo-soprano Layna Chianakas presented a recital and lecture March 14 for the San Jose Opera Guild at Le Petit Trianon. Composer Craig Bohmler of Los Gatos accompanied her on piano and was available to talk about the song cycle he composed for her. It was the first such event for the guild. A wine and cheese reception followed. |
