Missing Juvenile—March 16 at 5 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue. A 15-year-old boy left his house after an argument with a parent. He did not say where he was going. The parent contacted the sheriff's department when she had not heard from the boy for two days.
Grand Theft—Between March 26 at 3 p.m. and March 28 at 2 p.m. on Oak Creek Lane. A 12-year-old boy discovered that his bicycle had been stolen from his driveway. The $460 mountain bike had been locked to the gas meter.
Burglary—Between March 23 at 2:30 p.m. and March 24 at 9 a.m. on Lolly Court. Two large tools were reported stolen from a residential construction site. Someone broke through a locked fence, entered the residence through a door that does not yet have a lock, and cut a chain locking the tools together.
Credit Card Theft—Between Oct. 1 and March 18 on Fruitvale Avenue. A man who moved to Saratoga from Washington state reported that he had not received a credit card he was expecting. When he checked his credit card balance, he discovered that more than $6,700 had been charged to his account.
Identity Theft—Between Dec. 15 and Feb. 6 on Saratoga Glen Place. A woman had mail stolen from her residence. She recently discovered that two charges were made to an account she did not open, but which had her name and address on it.
Unattended Death—March 24 at 5:27 p.m. on Old Wood Road. After a woman reported that a 41-year-old male co-worker had not shown up to work that day, an officer went to the man's residence to check on him. When the officer entered the home, the man was sitting motionless in a chair.
Petty Theft—Between March 24 and March 27 on Rolling Hills Road, Evans Lane and Via Regina. Four instances of mail theft were reported at residences. Two were on Rolling Hills Road. Items suspected stolen include a paycheck, credit card statements, a driver's license and letters.
Credit Card Fraud—Feb. 12 on Devon Avenue. A man reported that a female friend asked for his credit card number about a year ago in order to purchase plane tickets to visit her son. The woman made a verbal promise to pay him back in the future, and he gave the number to her. He recently noticed unauthorized charges on the card to a law firm and a cable service provider in February.
Drunk in Public—March 23 at 2:32 on Cox Avenue. A woman was taken to the fire station on Cox Avenue. She did not respond to medical questions and was unable to give any type of personal information. She was unable to care for herself or others due to the amount of alcohol she had consumed. She was transported to Community Hospital of Los Gatos, where she was cited and released to her parents.
Under the Influence of a Stimulant—March 23 between 2:30 and 5:20 p.m. on Camino Barco. An officer dispatched to a family disturbance at a residence arrived to find a man outside his residence screaming. He had dilated pupils, excited speech, high heart rate, and fluttering eyelids and was sweating. He also had needle tracks on his left arm and his father said he uses "speed and meth." He was booked into county jail.
