Foundation to hold its annual race
Run, walk, skip or jump—whatever the fashion, residents can take part in the fight against lupus at the 10th annual Run and Walk for Lupus on April 25. The 5-mile run will begin at 8 a.m. at West Valley College, 14000 Fruitvale Ave. Special prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female runners in each of the eight age categories.

Lang will perform
at Villa Montalvo
He's played at Carnegie Hall and in London's BBC Proms, but 21-year-old, internationally known musical genius Lang Lang will be performing classical tunes from his latest CD on April 18 in the Carriage House Theater at Villa Montalvo, 15400 Montalvo Road. West Valley will
present 'M*A*S*H
Experience the behind-the-scenes of the Korean War with the West Valley College theater arts department as it presents M*A*S*H, based on a novel by Richard Hooker. Performances are on April 23, 24, 29 and 30 at 8 p.m. and on April 25 and May 1 at 2 p.m. at the West Valley College Campus Theater, 14000 Fruitvale Ave. There will also be an 8 p.m. showing on May 1. Hakone offers
walking tours
Docents at Hakone Gardens will be giving tours for those interested in learning about the center and its amenities. Requests for tours must be received at least six weeks in advance. Visitors should arrive 10 minutes early and expect the tour to last between 45 minutes to an hour. Tour reservations are $25 per group, plus an additional $5 per individual payable upon arrival.
