Prior to the March 25 opening night of Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley's "Out of Africa," Walter and Karen Lowenstern hosted a sponsor party at Paolo's. The event was a special thank you to NetJets Aviation, corporate sponsor of the opening night performance of the ballet by Flemming Flindt.

Heart of Gold reception held

Sacred Heart Community Services honored volunteers at its Heart of Gold reception Feb. 26 at its offices at 1381 S. First St. at Alma. Among those being honored were members of Capital Club City Connections which has developed a special relationship with the organization through the Job Links program which provides business clothes for those going into the job market.
