Identity Theft—March 18 at approximately noon on Bonnet Way. Someone stole a woman's credit card and attempted to make purchases with it. The card was not activated, so the thief called the credit card company pretending to be the woman, but the card was already reported stolen. Someone also used her information on a stolen check to make a purchase. The woman said she believes the card was stolen and the check was used by a construction worker who was working at her home.

Residential Burglary—Between March 29 at 2:45 p.m. and March 30 at 6:20 a.m. on Pepper Lane. Someone smashed the rear-door window of a garage and stole $1,500 worth of tools.

Kidnapping by Force—March 30 at Prospect Road and Lawrence Expressway. A 17-year-old girl was kidnapped from a street corner. A man forced her to get inside his black four-door car, drove her to an unknown location and attempted to sexually assault her. The girl was able to get free in the south San Jose area and contacted her aunt, who then contacted the police. The kidnapper was described as a bearded Middle Eastern man wearing a white turban.

Minor in Possession —March 31 at 9:45 on Big Basin Way at Tollgate Road. A patrolling officer noticed an illegally parked vehicle. Two juveniles were at the site. One of them possessed three people's identification cards in his wallet, a lighter and a metallic container containing remnants of marijuana. The juvenile was cited and released into parental custody.

Weapon on School Grounds —March 31 at 3 p.m. on Prospect Road. A 19-year-old man at a school was found to be carrying a knife with a 33/4-inch blade. A search of his car revealed a baseball bat in the trunk and the bottom half of a pool cue on the floor next to the driver's side door. He was arrested and booked into the main jail.

Mail Theft—Between March 29 at 4 p.m. and April 1 at 4 p.m. on Knollwood Drive. A woman reported that mail was stolen from her residence. She said she believes her company's mail containing employees' Social Security numbers was among the stolen mail, as well as some bank statements. A neighbor found some mail in bushes nearby.

Commercial Burglary—Between April 2 at 6:30 p.m. and April 3 at 7:30 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue. Someone pried open the door of a law office and stole several new computers and laptops.
