Beauty Day will benefit 16-year-old

Pavia Day Spa will host a "Season of Renewal, Season of Hope" makeover party in honor of Adrienne Boardman, a local teen and regular patron who has been battling Hodgkin's lymphoma for the past seven years. Staff makeup artists as well as representatives from Colorscience will perform 30-minute makeup makeover magic from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 18.

"We wanted to celebrate Adrienne's courage," says co-owner Maryling Yu. "She's such a positive person."

Adrienne, 16, and her mother will be busy at the event as well, wiping makeup off visitors' faces before they get their makeover.

"This is great because people can have fun and contribute to a good cause at the same time," Adrienne says.

A portion of the money raised will go towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In addition, part of that money will help fund the Boardmans' way to a June 9 marathon taking place in Alaska.

Pavia Day Spa is located in the Saratoga Oaks Plaza at 12840 SaratogaSunnyvale Road. Call 408.741.1555 for more information.
