Harassment by Mail—Between March 23 and April 2 on Colby Court. A man who said he is a public figure on Chinese television and has political connections in Taiwan has been receiving letters accusing him of having an affair with his acupuncturist. The letters have been addressed to the man and his wife, and the unknown author has threatened to expose him and his alleged affair.
Identity Theft—Between April 5 at 8 a.m. and April 15 at 5 p.m. on Ten Oak Way. Someone cashed checks using the identity of a 50-year-old Saratoga woman. Her identity was also used to rent a car from Dollar Rent A Car that was never returned. According to the bank teller, the man who cashed the checks showed a driver's license with the woman's name but his picture.
