Sheriff's Report
Vandalism—Between May 3 at 10 p.m. and May 4 at 8 a.m. on Merribrook Court. Someone broke the front window of a residence. The damage was estimated at $300.

Missing Person—Between May 1 at 11 p.m. and May 2 at 8 a.m. on Williams Avenue. A 34-year-old man left his residence and did not return home when expected. His mother reported him missing after being informed that the San Jose Police arrested a man who had a blank check belonging to her son.

Drunk in Public—May 4 between 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Prospect Road. An officer responded to a call of a minor under the influence of alcohol. The boy admitted to stealing alcohol from a store on Saratoga Avenue and consuming some of the beverage before arriving at school. He was cited and released to his father.

Vandalism—Between April 28 at 8 a.m. and May 1 at 8 p.m. on 4th Street. A woman returned to her home to find four dents and a broken headlight lens on her vehicle. The damage was estimated at $750.

Cutting a Tree—May 8 at 3:55 p.m. on Ward Way. Someone cut down two trees and trimmed two others without a permit. No one was cited, but a police report was submitted to the city attorney.

Theft by Credit Card—Between March 29 and April 30 on Meadow Oak Drive. A 70-year-old man reported that someone had been withdrawing cash from his bank account without his authorization. All of the thefts have occurred in the Ventura, Calif. area and more than $4,000 has been stolen.

Possession of a Knife—May 5 at 7:45 p.m. at Quito and Northlawn roads. A man was being chased by his girlfriend on Quito Road. An officer stopped and the man told him he had a knife in his back pocket. The officer located the knife and booked the man into the main jail.

Explosive Device—May 3 at 4 p.m. on Kerwin Ranch Court. A man found a small round object that appeared to be an explosive in front of his residence. The object had a fuse that was tied to a cigarette. A blue balloon was tied to the object.
