The Saratoga AYSO Region 27 will hold registration for the 2004 fall soccer season on June 5, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Argonaut Elementary School.

The registration fee is $150 per player, and parents must provide the child's original birth certificate (for new players in the league), the name of the child's medical insurance carrier, name and phone number of the child's doctor, an emergency contact (name, phone and address) and the child's height and weight.

The AYSO asks that one member from each family volunteers their time in some capacity during the season. The family member who will volunteer must attend the registration. Referees are most needed.

Youth football

The Campbell­Saratoga Wolverines youth football organization is holding sign-ups for players ages 8­14 and cheerleaders ages 6­15. Check the website at www.campbellfootball.net.

Track meet

The San Jose City-Wide Youth Track Meet for boys and girls ages 9­14 will be held May 23, 8 a.m.­3 p.m., at Evergreen Valley High School. The meet will include running and field events. There is no entry fee.

Youth soccer

Summer softball

The Saratoga Recreation Department is accepting registration for its men's D summer softball league season. The league is open to players ages 35 and over and the team registration fee is $434. Games will be played Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 p.m. and 7:05 p.m., at El Quito Park. The season begins June 7 and manager packets are now available.
