Blue Rock hosts
comedy show
Blue Rock Shoot welcomes four local comedians for a night of laughter and music on June 5 at 8 p.m. The two-hour special will feature performances by Sharman Baciagalupi, Justin McClure, Dan Edwards and Grace White, who has appeared on Good Morning America and the Jerry Lewis Telethon. The event will also feature live music by rock & roll band Acquired Taste.

Carreras comes
to Saratoga
Spanish-born opera legend Jose Carreras will perform inside Villa Montalvo's Garden Theater on June 9 at 8 p.m. Carreras is well known for his appearances with Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti at the televised Three Tenors concerts.
Tickets for the event are $225, which includes parking, cocktails and a light supper. Tickets for just the concert start at $75. Proceeds will go toward supporting the center's art, education and community programs. Villa Montalvo is located at 15400 Montalvo Road.

Rec department to
hold Xtreme camp
The Saratoga Recreation Department is inviting middle school students to participate in Teen Xtreme Adventures, a weeklong camp taking place June 14 to 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Campers will go on trips to various attractions such as Raging Waters, Malibu Grand Prix, LazerQuest and the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk. Students will meet at the Warner Hutton House.
The fee for Saratoga residents is $244, which covers entrance fees, transportation, supervision, crafting materials and snacks. Nonresidents can register for $254.
