Kris Gunderson, a community program specialist with the Humane Society Silicon Valley, holds Hercules, a kitten who came to the organization when he was 10 days old. Gunderson must feed the kitten with a baby bottle every two hours while she carries him in a sling around her neck at work; she plans on adopting him when he's older.

Shuttle service Army medic wounded Paul L. Hulme
In an effort to increase foot traffic in the Village area, the city of Saratoga is planning to start a shuttle service between Villa Montalvo and Big Basin Way on concert nights.  More Lon Mullaney, a former West Valley College student, was wounded in action in Baghdad on May 27. He had been in Iraq since the beginning of March.  More He came to the Bay Area when Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road was just a two-lane highway. Stevens Creek was two lanes, too. There were orchards everywhere. That was 1961.  More
