Pitcher Neil Bruner helped the Saratoga Little League 10-year-old all-stars claim the District 12 championship. Bruner was the winning pitcher against Almaden North in the title game, striking out eight.

City council race Tight leash Scouts honor
The Saratoga City Council terms are up this year for Mayor Ann Waltonsmith and Councilman Stan Bogosian.  More It's a common sight in Saratoga to see dogs running around free while their owners rest on benches nearby, even though city rules prohibit off-leash dogs in parks or in any other public areas.  More At a time when businesses are struggling on Big Basin Way, a group of Saratoga Girl Scouts decided it's important to recognize companies that are giving back to the community.  More
