Burglary Attempt—Between July 10 at 11:15 p.m. and July 11 at noon at Via Ranchero Drive. A tool was used in an attempt to gain access into a house through a garage door. The attempt was unsuccessful.
Cannabis Possession—On July 9 at 10:04 p.m. at Cox and Miller avenues. An officer found a man riding a bicycle in the middle of the road, a vehicle-code violation. The man had a fanny pack around his waist. The officer searched the pack and located a film canister with cannabis inside. A plastic box containing marijuana was also found. The person was booked into the main jail.
Restraining Order—Between July 8 at 1:30 p.m. and July 9 at 6:30 p.m. on Vineyard Lane. A person with an active restraining order for domestic violence was seen by a witness on the doorstep of the protected person.
Methamphetamine—On July 9 at 4:20 p.m. at Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Road. An officer stopped a car with an expired registration and then searched the vehicle. The officer located a plastic wrapper with methamphetamine inside.
Theft—On July 7 between 1:30 and 2 p.m. at Prospect Road. A person went in for a tire change and waited at the shop for about 30 minutes. When he got back, he realized that his Apple iPod worth $500 was missing.
Ammunition—On July 8 at 11:45 a.m. on Maria Lane. A woman whose parents had recently died discovered some ammunition as she cleaned the house. She requested the Sheriff's Department to dispose of the ammunition.
Shoplifting—On July 7 between noon and 12:30 p.m. on Third Street. A person removed a donkey figurine and a beaded necklace and left without paying. The stolen goods are worth approximately $160.
