Commercial Burglary—Between July 24 at 3 p.m. and July 25 at 2:45 p.m. on Village Drive. Someone entered a commercial property through the back door and took property valued at $2,000. Sheriff's deputies lifted five sets of fingerprints from the scene.
False Registration—On July 26 at 1:05 p.m. on Quito Road. An officer did a records check on a license plate on a Honda and found that the plate originally belonged to a Volkswagen. The officer stopped the juvenile driving the car, and he confessed that his mother had changed the license plates so that they could drive the car without being stopped.
Under the Influence—On July 26 at 1:40 p.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A man drove his car into the back end of a car three times in a parking lot and fled. The owner of the car followed the man to Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. The person showed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was booked into the main jail.
Drunk in Public—On Aug. 1 at Paseo Presada at 8:30 p.m. A man was found lying on the grass. He had the odor of an alcoholic beverage, had watery eyes and slurred when he spoke. He had also urinated on himself. He made an attempt to stand up and fell on his face, cutting his mouth. Paramedics administered first aid to him. Deputies also discovered that there was a $5,000 warrant on him. He was booked into the main jail.
