Someone anonymously reported a gray metal suitcase lying outside. The owner could not be located. There was nothing inside the suitcase. The property was booked into the main jail.

Vehicle Burglary—Aug. 11 at 5:10 p.m. at Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and Blauer Drive. The side window of a car was forced open and a laptop worth $1,600 was taken from a car. Fingerprints were lifted from the scene of the crime.

Drug Driving—Aug. 11 at 6:28 p.m. at De Anza Boulevard and Prospect Road. A traffic stop was made for an unsafe lane change. The driver had a warrant worth $1,012 on him. A bag of methamphetamine and a glass pipe were found in the car. The man showed symptoms of being under the influence of a stimulant. He was booked into the main jail.

Machine Gun—Aug. 9 at 4 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue. A woman turned in a Cobray submachine gun. She found it while cleaning her father's house. Her father is deceased.
